Who are the taxi driver training courses for?

Taxi driver initial training (21 hours)

Initial training is intended for people applying for their first taxi driver’s licence. Before the official examination, the course prepares you to provide safe customer service, understand road safety, assist passengers with special needs, and understand drivers’ rights and obligations.

Taxi driver refresher training (7 hours)

Refresher training is intended for existing taxi drivers who renew their licence after the legislative amendment takes effect. The training is completed once, when renewing the licence during the transition period.
